Company Description

Reducing THC in a cannabis line is a matter of selecting which biosynthetic pathway the plant favours. Breeders create low thc marijuana strains by crossing potent cultivars with CBD-dominant or CBG-dominant parents and then choosing offspring whose resin contains less of the intoxicating compound. Aroma, flower density, and yield are selected at the same time so that the result resembles familiar varieties. Several generations are usually needed before the cannabinoid profile becomes consistent from seed to seed.
